Cedar Falls Firefighters and Public Safety Officers were called to a fire at 700 West Ridgeway Avenue Sunday night shortly after 5:30 p.m. The location of the fire was a trailer that had been split into a duplex. The occupant of the front half of the building called 911 to report the fire. They also were able to alert those in the back portion of the trailer of the fire in their living quarters. When firefighters arrived they found flames coming from the bathroom of the back portion. An overheated bathroom vent had been left on and caused the fire. The back half of the trailer received minor damage while the front half was undamaged in the fire.
