The Janesville student killed in a crash last week has now been identified as Gilmore “Gil” Taiber. Taiber was ejected from his vehicle after going into the east ditch on Leversee Road near Cedar Falls. The 17 year old was just finishing his junior year at Janesville. He was known as a gifted athlete, playing for a well known AAU basketball A Celebration of Life will be held Monday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Riviera Roose in Janesville where everyone is welcome to attend.
