Planned Parenthood has permanently closed their Cedar Falls location, according to KWWL. In a corresponding move, the organization hopes to expand services in Cedar Rapids. Staffing challenges were also cited as a reason for the closure. Planned Parenthood has reported a 13% drop in abortions in Iowa, now a year on from the United States Supreme Court overturning Roe V. Wade. Despite challenges to the procedure, abortion remains legal in Iowa up to 20 weeks of pregnancy.
