Chaos After Man Denied Free Food

A Waterloo man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting the staff at a McDonald’s who refused to give him free food, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 31 year old Jahtyriis Swington visited the McDonald’s on University Avenue at around 11;00 p.m. on Monday night. He placed an order through the drive thru. However was unable to pay for the food and staff refused to give him his order if he could not pay. Police say Swington became angry at this point and got out of his jeep and began yelling at workers and allegedly tried to start a fight in the parking lot. When an employee said she was going to call police, he allegedly pushed her against a wall and fled the scene. Police found Swington at an apartment complex where he allegedly became combative as they approached. Swington has been charged with two counts of misdemeanor Assault, Public Intoxication, Interference, and Disorderly Conduct. His bond has been set at $2,000.
