Charges against a Waterloo man have been upgraded to Murder in the shooting death of a teenager, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 20 year old Eugene Love Jr. is accused of killing 18 year old Courtney Harris in January. Love had been arrested for Intimidation With a Weapon. Police say Love was the passenger in a car that pulled up on Harris, who was sitting in a parked Ford Escape near the Prime Mart on Broadway Street. Love allegedly got out of his vehicle and approached the Escape fired his weapon several times. He then returned to his vehicle and they drove away. Harris died of a gunshot wound to the head.
