Pharmaceutical manufacturing company, Cambrex, has committed $120 million to expand their operations in Charles City. The company says this investment is aimed at addressing the rising demand for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient development and manufacturing. They say this will increase the Charles City site’s manufacturing capacity by 40%, reaching nearly one million liters. The Charles City location produces a variety of APIs and pharmaceutical intermediates, including controlled substances.
