A Charles City man was arrested after allegedly assaulting another person, according to KIMT. 23 year old Joseph Bennett attacked the other person last Wednesday according to police. Bennett is accused of grabbing the victim and hitting them several times in the face and head. The victim received a broken bone just above an eye in the alleged assault. Bennett was arrested on Friday night and taken to the Floyd County Jail on a charge of assault causing willful injury.
