Charles City Man Charged with Homicide by Vehicle

A Charles City man has been charged with homicide by vehicle- OWI and homicide by vehicle- reckless driving, as well as three counts of serious injury by vehicle and one count of OWI second offense, according to KIMT. 30 year old Jesse Blade is alleged to have run a stop sign at the intersection of Rudd Park Road and Glass Avenue on October 26 of 2019. Blade collided with another vehicle killing 9 year old Royce Fisher. Driver Ronald Fisher, Sara Fisher, and 11 year old Aidyn Kline were all seriously injured including broken bones. Blade was going 53 mph in a 25 mph zone at the time. He also had a blood alcohol content level of .137 and tested positive for cocaine. Blade was arrested Thursday in Charles City.
