A Charles City man has been sentenced to federal prison after pointing a gun at a person in his neighbor’s home, according to KIMT. 32 year old Dashaune Burns-Johnson brought drugs and a loaded firearm to this neighbor’s house on May 22nd. While there he pulled the gun out of his backpack and pointed it at a person in the house. He was ineligible to possess guns after previously being convicted of felony and misdemeanor domestic abuse assault charges. He pleaded guilty to one count of Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person in October. He has now been sentenced to four years and nine months in federal prison. He must also serve three years of supervised release.
