A Charles City man has been sentenced after he assaulted another person back in June, according to KIMT. 23 year old Joseph Bennett pleaded guilty to domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury. Police say he hit another person multiple times in the face and head. The victim was left with cuts and broken bone above one eye. Bennett was sentenced to 30 days in jail, with credit for time served. He was also ordered to complete a batterer’s treatment program.
