A Charles City man has taken a plea deal after breaking into two apartments in January, according to KIMT. 29 year old Franklin Foster pled guilty to two counts of First Degree Burglary, False Imprisonment, and Tampering with a Witness. He broke into an apartment in the 900 block of Gilbert Street in Charles City on January 4th armed with a box cutter. He assaulted two men before taking their phones and leaving. Then, on January 7th Foster broke into an apartment in the 1300 block of Gilbert Street, this time armed with a handgun. He threatened the people inside before leaving. Foster has been sentenced to up to 25 years in prison.
