A Charles City woman has been sentenced for a violent break in last summer, according to KIMT. 34 year old Alyssa Gurule pleaded guilty to fourth degree Criminal Mischief after initially being charged with first degree Burglary and Domestic Abuse Assault. Police say Gurule kicked in the front door at a home in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue and attacked a person inside before stealing their phone and leaving. The victim suffered a scratch and blood mark on their left forearm. Police also say three children were in the home at the time of the break in. Gurule has now been sentenced to one year of supervised probation and fine $430.
