A Charles City woman will go to prison for up to a decade for a violent robbery, while the man accused of helping her with the crime goes free, according to KIMT. 39 year old Kathyleen Mason pleaded guilty to one count of Willful Injury. She attacked her victim by striking them several times in the face, head, and lower body with a dangerous weapon. The victim suffered a fractured ankle, a broken nose, and bruising and swelling on and above the left eye, and then they were robbed. 41 year old Darius Mason was charged with Willful Injury Causing Serious Injury, and False Imprisonment in the case but he was acquitted at trial.
