Chase Ends in Arrest

A Hiawatha man allegedly led Waterloo police on a car and foot chase late Saturday night, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Police attempted to pull over a vehicle driven by 25 year old Garrett Tomlinson on Shaulis Road near the Isle Casino after police say it was driving erratically, was speeding, and almost hit a patrol car. Tomlinson initially pulled over and talked to police but then he pulled off and allegedly led police on a six minute chase through Washburn and back to Shaulis Road. He is accused of eventually getting out of his car and running into some tall grass where he was arrested without and further issue. Police allegedly found marijuana and methamphetamine on Tomlinson. He has been charged with Eluding, drug charges, and multiple traffic violations.
