Waterloo Fire Chief Pat Treloar says he will step down at the end of the year according to KWWL. Treloar says the timing is right for himself, his family, and the department. He went on to say he wanted to leave the department in a good spot and says they are having a good budget year so far and they can get the budget set for next year before he leaves. He joined Waterloo Fire Rescue in May of 1997 and was appointed Fire Chief in 2011.
