A child has been seriously injured after crashing their e-bike into a car Monday evening in Cedar Falls, according to KWWL. The child was riding their bike on the recreational trail along the south side of Greenhill Road at Prairie Parkway just before 6:00 p.m. As the child entered the intersection they ran into the side of a Hyundai Tucson that was legally travelling through the intersection. The child was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police are asking parents to talk to their children about slowing down on e-bikes, wearing a helmet, and following all traffic signs and signals. They also remind motorists to be aware of more people walking and those on bikes as the weather warms up.
