A Buchanan County man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after sexually touching a child between 2015 and 2019, according to KWWL. 36 year old Matthew Barth pleaded guilty to three counts of Lascivious Acts with a Child. The Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office says Barth fondled the genitals of a child, caused the child to touch his genitals, and inflicted pain upon a child for sexual satisfaction. After Barth serves his 25 year sentence, he will also have to register as a sex offender and will be under supervision for life. He must also pay civil penalties and victim restitution.
