Shell Rock will be holding their annual Stocking Stroll on Wednesday from 6:00-7:00 p.m. The stroll itself will take place up and down Cherry Street beginning at 6:00 until 6:40. Hot dogs and chips will be available in the Boyd Building. There will be a lighted parade at 6:45 with the tree lighting at 7:00. Santa is expected to be in attendance.
Readlyn’s Holiday Celebration has been moved to Saturday, December 13th. Santa Claus will be at the Readlyn Fire Station from 3:00-5:00 p.m. and there will be treat bags, hot chocolate, and smores. The tree lighting will take place in the City Park at 5:30 p.m. At 6:00 p.m. there will be a lighted parade through downtown. After the parade there will be a drawing for a ham at TruServe and then fireworks.
Plainfield’s Christmas on Main will be held on Saturday, December 6th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. At 5:00 the lighting of the Christmas Tree will kick off the night. A soup supper will be held at the Baptist Church. Santa Claus will be at the Butler Bremer Communications building. Local vendors will be selling their wares at the 707. There will also be horse drawn wagon rides through Main Street.
