A Waterloo pastor is urgently asking the Archdiocese of Dubuque to immediately help him get his church’s ceiling fixed, according to KWWL. A partial collapse at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in downtown Waterloo earlier this year has forced the congregation to meet in the church basement for services. Pastor Nils Hernandez says they were told by engineers that the entire ceiling could collapse at any time. Hernandez says his congregation is in imminent danger. Hernandez is reaching out to the public, asking them to also urge the archdiocese to provide help.
