The Waverly Police Department is again offering their Citizen’s Police Academy. The 9-week program is free and meets every Thursday from February 12th to April 16th, with the exception of Spring Break. The program aims to familiarize the public with common police procedures, activities, and investigative techniques. Space is limited so those interested are encouraged to get their applications in quickly. Participants must be 21 years old, live or work in Waverly, have no prior felonies, no misdemeanor arrests within one year of application, must be able to attend all or most sessions, and must submit to a criminal background check.
