An Oelwein City Council member and school district office manager has been arrested in a drug investigation, according to KWWL. The Oelwein Police Department says they executed a search of a home on North Frederick Street around 5:20 p.m. Friday. While there they seized marijuana and psilocybin. Three men were arrested including 28 year old Michael Seeders who was charged with Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Deliver, 22 year old Cameron Seeders who was charged with Possession of Marijuana, and 21 year old Collin Ricchio who was charged with Possession of Marijuana and Psilocybin. A second search was then executed at a home on 7th Street where, again, marijuana and psilocybin were confiscated. 47 year old Michael Seeders and 43 year old Karen Seeders were arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana With Intent to Deliver and Possession of Psilocybin With Intent to Deliver. Karen Seeders is one of the Councilmembers at Large in Oelwein. She is also the school district office manager. She has been suspended from the school district while they conduct their own investigation and consult with police.
