City Exploring Replacing Riverfront Stadium

Waterloo is exploring the possibility of replacing Riverfront Stadium, according to KWWL. City leaders approved a resolution last night to allow an engineering firm to conduct a feasibility study on the project. The study will focus on the costs of developing a new, modern stadium rather than renovating Riverfront. Riverfront Stadium was built in 1946 and sits inside the flood plain. It is currently the home of the Waterloo Bucks of the Northwoods League, a collegiate summer wooden bat league.
