City Must Cut Nearly $2 Million from Budget

The City of Waverly will have to make some major decisions in order to trim its budget. Waverly Mayor Mark Anderson joined us to explain why.

The council discussed many ideas this weekend about how to do that including the likelyhood of cutting staff.

Another idea to save money is closing the pool for a season. Mayor Anderson talked about the pros and cons of that.

No decisions have yet been made about how to cut the needed $1.8 million from the proposed yearly budget.

One way the city could grow its income is with speed cameras. Mayor Anderson said the city will propose doing that soon.
