Clarification on Quarantine Guidance Change

The state of Iowa has changed it requirements about who needs to quarantine. If the positive case and the person in close contact both are wearing masks then the person in contact does not need to quarantine. If either one of the parties isn’t wearing a mask then the person in close contact has to quarantine.

Bremer County Health Department Administrator Lindley Sharp clarifies what counts as a mask and what doesn’t.

Sharp said this new guidance will help businesses and schools most and applies to non-residential and non-health care settings.
