Construction Worker Hurt at Brewery

A construction worker was injured after falling through the roof at the historic Hostess Wonder Bread bakery building in Waterloo. Witnesses say he landed on the concrete floor.

This happened around 9:30 Monday morning.

His condition is listed as stable at this time. Other construction workers say he was conscious, but in a lot of pain after the fall. Service Roofing says the man has been with the company for more than 31 years.

The historic building is currently in the construction process to become a Single Speed Brewery location.
