Convenience Store Plea Deal

A Waterloo man has taken a plea deal in a case in which he robbed a convenience store in 2024, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. As part of the plea deal 46 year old Revar Harrell entered an Alford Plea to a charge of second degree Robbery. Habitual offender enhancements were removed in the deal. Harrell drove around Elite Fuel at Elk Run Road and Independence Avenue a number of times before entering the store with his hand in his pocket, holding a gun. He fled the scene with money from the register. The next morning a Clinton County Sheriff’s Deputy noticed his vehicle near Goose Lake and pulled him over. The deputy found the gun and $145 in cash. Harrell was barred from handling guns due to 2019 conviction for Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a 12 year old in Cook County, Illinois. Harrell was sentenced to six to 10 years in prison on the Robbery charge. That will run consecutively to the five year sentence he received in Clinton County.
