Another convict has escaped from the Waterloo Residential Correctional Facility, according to KWWL. 32 year old Jayvon Sanford II has failed to return to the facility. He was admitted to the facility in October. In June of 2022 Sanford attacked another man at the Voodoo Lounge in Cedar Falls, stabbing him on both sides of his torso and on his wrist. An employee who tried to break the men up also suffered a stab wound. Sanford was convicted of Willful Injury, Going Armed With Intent, and Intimidation With a Dangerous Weapon. He stands five feet, seven inches tall and weighs approximately 315 pounds. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to reach out to police.
