Black Hawk County is contemplating the implementation of a county administrator position. The Board of Supervisors held a special session on Wednesday to discuss the topic. The county administrator would act as a liaison between the elected board and the county’s department heads. A new law requires every supervisor seat to be on the November ballot. Should an entirely new Board of Supervisors be elected, the county administrator would be necessary to keep business going as it should. The position would not require a referendum and the estimated salary would be between $150,000 and $175,000 along with benefits.
