A Denver woman and a Fort Dodge man have been arrested after allegedly breaking into a Waterloo home early Friday morning. The resident of 2925 Dell Drive awoke around 1:40 a.m. Friday after hearing a noise. He noticed two acquaintances leaving the house. The resident then noticed his Samsung flip phone and his car keys were missing. Police were able to stop the alleged intruders’ truck a short time later. The found the flip phone inside the truck along with methamphetamine and marijuana. 33 year old Areielle Petersen of Denver and 33 year old Shawn Franzen of Fort Dodge were arrested and charged with second degree Burglary. Franzen was also arrested on drug charges and assault in an earlier incident.
