COVID-19 and Playgrounds

Many communities across Iowa are prohibiting the use of public playgrounds.

Bremer County Health Department Administrator Lindley Sharp says was asked if Bremer County is urging residents not to use equipment.

The city of Waverly Leisure Services just released its COVID-19 playground policy this morning. They are not banning the use of equipment but say that playground use is not encouraged. If you choose to use the equipment their advice is the same as Ms. Sharp’s. All the city parks, the rail trail and the dog park are open at this time though the public restrooms are closed.
