A popular Waverly restaurant announced last week that they were shutting back down after an employee contracted COVID-19. Now Mexican Restaurant El Sol has more bad news as that employee, Ruben Villalpando, has died from pneumonia resulting from COVID-19. The restaurant said via their Facebook account that they had planned to reopen this weekend prior to Villalpando’s death. El Sol will stay closed until further notice.
