Daughter Left in Car So Dad Could Gamble

A Waterloo man has been arrested for allegedly leaving his five year old daughter in his vehicle while he gambled at the Isle Casino, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. At around 11:30 p.m. Thursday someone noticed the girl in the cargo compartment of a Chevy Traverse in the parking lot. The girl was wearing a short-sleeve shirt, shorts and a diaper. The engine was off and wind chills were in the upper 30s. The girl’s father, 48 year old Brian Edgar, had allegedly been inside the casino for five and a half hours at that point. He has been charged with misdemeanor Child Endangerment.
