The director of a Waverly daycare has been arrested on drug charges. According to Waverly Police they were called to an apartment at 401 24th Street NW to investigate the smell of marijuana. After a search of the apartment Kelly Hampton was arrested and charged with possession of meth, marijuana, prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia. She has since been released on a $1,000 bond. Hampton is the director of Little Learners Daycare in Waverly. The investigation is still ongoing, including a search for a second person who may be involved as well.
