A collision on Interstate 380 in Evansdale has claimed the life of one of the drivers, according to KIMT. Shortly after 11 Saturday morning a vehicle driven by 63 year old Robert Schmaltz of Raymond struck the back of a vehicle driven by 20 year old Emily Droste of Center Point. Both vehicles spun into the ditch. According to the Iowa State Patrol Schmaltz was killed in the crash. It is unclear if Droste was injured. It was storming at the time of the crash.
