According to KWWL, Adventureland amusement park has confirmed that one person has died after being injured Saturday night while on the Raging River ride.
The announcement coming from their Facebook page Sunday night.
Five other people were on one of the ride’s rafts when it overturned. Two of them received no injuries, while the other three remain in the hospital.
The person’s identity hasn’t been revealed yet at this time.
In a prior Facebook post, Adventureland said nothing seemed wrong with the ride when it was inspected Friday. As it appeared in sound working order.
An investigation into what caused the accident is still underway, as the ride remains closed to the public to receive further inspection at this time.
