Deere and Company has announced yet more layoffs despite threats from politicians and those running for office, according to KWQC. Nearly 300 workers will lose their jobs in Quad Cities. Deere says they are simply reacting to market factors. They say sales have declined 20% and the company’s stock price has dropped 16% in the last year. Deere made sure to emphasize that these jobs are not moving overseas. They have been heavily criticized for moving some of their production to Mexico.
