A Charles City woman has been given a deferred judgment after attempting to bribe the person her son sexually abused, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 64 year old Dalia Weber was ordered to serve five years of probation on Monday for Tampering with a Reporting Party. If she successfully completes probation, the conviction will be removed from her record. She must also pay a $1,370 civil penalty. Weber’s son, 42 year old Isaia Weber, of Cedar Falls, was sentenced to 10 years in prison for sexually abusing the child from 2010 to 2013 in Mason City. Isaia Weber and his wife, 35 year old Lakeshia Weber, of Cedar Falls, were both also charged with Tampering with a Reporting Party. Isaia was sentenced to time served, Lakeshia will have a plea change hearing on July 20th.
