A Charles City woman accused of a violent break-in has been handed a deferred judgment, according to KIMT. 31 year old Queen Matlock broke into a locked home on May 3rd. Once inside she hit, slapped, and pulled the hair of a male resident. Matlock was originally charged with first degree Burglary Causing Bodily Injury. She took a plea deal in which she pleaded guilty to Assault Causing Bodily Injury. She was sentenced to one year of unsupervised probation and ordered to pay a civil penalty of $430. She was given a deferred judgment, so the conviction will be wiped from her record if she completes the terms of her sentence.
