A Denver man has been charged with stealing construction equipment from a site in Hudson, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 36 year old Aaron Thurm allegedly stole more than $24,000 worth of tools and equipment from a construction site in August. He has been charged with two counts of first degree Theft. Some of the items were recovered after an alleged crime spree by Thurm in September. On that occasion Thurm allegedly stole a UTV from Willow Run Country Club in Denver and drove it to Waterloo where he attempted to break into parked vehicles. He then allegedly broke into the concession stand at George Wyth State Park and stole a kayak, two cases of pop, beach towels, and potato chips. He also allegedly stole a trailer from Hawkeye Motor Sport. On that occasion he was charged with third degree Burglary, fifth degree Criminal Mischief, Attempted Burglary to a Vehicle and two counts of first degree Theft.
