A Denver man was airlifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Monday evening after a crash near Readlyn that closed a portion of Highway 3. 70 year old Richard Kane was traveling eastbound in a semi on Highway 3 at the same time 74 year old John Even, of Readlyn, was pulling a chisel plow behind his Ford F250 westbound. The chisel plow crossed the center line, striking the semi, according to the Iowa State Patrol. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
