A Denver man has been arrested for alleged thefts from Independence businesses in July and October, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 49 year old Joshua Harris, along with anther person, are accused of stealing a Weatherking condenser from Precision Plumbing and Heating in the early morning hours of July 17th. Security video allegedly shows the two check the business’ scrap metal dumpster shortly before 3am and then loading the condenser into a Dodge Grand Caravan and driving off. Then, on October 15th, Harris allegedly took equipment and scrap metal from Independence Plumbing Heating and Cooling. He has been charged with second degree Theft. He is already on probation for taking a cash box from Brakes Plus in Waterloo in December.
