The Denver Police and Bremer County Sheriff’s Office responded to threats made to a middle school student. The student reported receiving the texts from an unknown person threatening violence that would be carried out at the middle school the next week. After an investigation it was found that the text was sent through the app TextNow. The person who sent the text was found to be an 11 year old girl. The threats were not credible and the school was not in danger at any time according to the Sheriff’s Office. The girl has been referred to the Juvenile Court Services on a charge of first degree harassment.
