Deported Convict Arrested in Waterloo

A man who had been deported twice after robbing a Kansas bank has been found in Waterloo, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. Waterloo police arrested 28 year old Gabriel Marceleno Lopez while investigating an assault in the area of Franklin and Nevada Streets back on May 15th. At the time he told officers his name was Alex Guzman, but tattoos indicated he was actually Lopez. He was charged with illegal entry. When he was 17 Lopez and another man robbed a bank in Dodge City, Kansas, getting away with $7,000. Lopez was captured near the Colorado border. He was deported in April 2012. In February of 2014 he was found back in Kansas. He was charged with illegal reentry and deported in March of 2017.
