The Waterloo City Council is considering a developer’s plan to turn the old Rath Packing building into senior housing, according to KWWL. If they decide to sell the building to the developer, the developer says they plan to create at least 70 units. They also plan to apply for state and federal historic grants. The building has been empty for nearly 40 years.
