The following is from the Cedar Falls Police Department:
On Wednesday June 4th, 2025, at approximately 18:32 Hrs., Cedar Falls Police were called to 4317 Newland Dr. for a domestic dispute. It was reported that one person had possibly been shot. When officers arrived on scene David Alan Charlton DOB: 01/20/1953 was found deceased.
Kimberly Ann Charlton DOB: 06/10/1958, was detained by officers and transported to the Cedar Falls Police Department. After an investigation Officers charged:
Kimberly Ann Charlton, DOB: 06/10/1958, Murder in the 1st Degree, a Class A
Felony
Cedar Falls Police were assisted by Black Hawk County Dispatch, MercyOne Paramedics, and the Cedar Falls Fire Division.
