There will be no school at Don Bosco on Monday as they grieve and celebrate 14 year old student Kelli Schmitz. Schmitz died in a car crash on her way to school on Tuesday morning. She was the lone cheerleader for the Don Bosco basketball teams. Her brother, David, is a starter on the boys team that will play for a trip to State tomorrow night.
The funeral for Schmitz will be held on Monday at 10:30 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville. Visitation will be held later that day from 2:00-6:00.
