A North Liberty man suspected of raping a woman near Hawkeye Community College and another near UNI has waived his right to a jury trial, according to the Waterloo Cedar Falls Courier. 27 year old Asante Adams is accused of breaking into an apartment near Hawkeye on March 10th of 2023 and sexually assaulting a woman inside. Then, a month later on April 10th he is accused of doing the same thing at an apartment on College Street in Cedar Falls. He is also believed to be responsible for a similar incident in Johnson County that occurred on September 6th of 2022. His attorney has asked the judge who will decide the Black Hawk County cases to not consider the Johnson County case.
