Multiple people were arrested on drug charges after a crash near Westgate last Thursday. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene around 9:30 p.m. An investigation found that a Santa Fe driven by 64 year old John Rundle Jr. failed to stop at a stop sign and T-boned a Camry driven by 34 year old Nathan Lee of Ridgeway. Lee and one passenger were taken to the Sumner Hospital before the passenger was transferred to the University of Iowa Hospital. Before deputies could talk to Lee again, he fled the Sumner ER. An investigation found that 32 year old Satasha Schuman of Waucoma and 30 year old William Newton of Tripoli helped him do so.
