A Dunkerton woman and a Sumner man were arrested after a crash in Oran early Thursday morning. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office was called to Main Street after a hit and run shortly after 12:30am. After arriving on scene, deputies learned that 36 year old Sarah Fowler, the alleged driver, had returned to the scene with 31 year old Joseph Liscano. An investigation determined that Fowler had backed her Ford Edge into Craig Engelhardt’s Chevy Impala as she was leaving the bar. During the investigation Liscano was allegedly showing signs of intoxication and was interfering with the investigation. He was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication and Interference with Official Acts. Fowler was also allegedly showing signs of intoxication and was also arrested. She has been charged with Striking an Unattended Vehicle, Failure to Provide Financial Liability- Accident Related, Public Intoxication, and Interference with Official Acts. The incident remains under investigation and additional charges are pending.
