Waverly has a new mayor. Mark Anderson easily beat Tim Kangas with 70% of the vote yesterday. Jennifer Wolff defeated James Rademacher for the Ward 2 City Council seat with 68% of the vote. Shawn Ellerbroek racked up 72% of the vote to beat April Krutsinger for one school board chair. Dennis Epley won his race for school board by an even broader margin with 80% of the vote over Christopher Holthaus. The three Hospital Trustee positions went to David Rathe, Ann Henninger Trax, and Jeff Meyers.
In Denver Owen Teeling, Patrick Giesler, and Heather Prendergast won spots on the school board. Two chairs on Denver City Council went to Mark Richmann and Curtis Junker.
The spot on the Sumner Fredericksburg school board went to Michael DeSloover by just 3 votes over Jamie Steege. Sumner had a three way race for mayor which Brian Bockhaus won over Billy Lehmkuhl and Sonja Lampe with 45% of the vote. Brad Gade and George Heying both won Sumner City Council positions.
In Tripoli three spots on the school board went to Kyle Kirchhoff, Kelby Bergmann, and Ryan Greenwald.
Jerald Heuer won his race for Clarksville mayor over Michael Grantham. Two City Council positions went to Jessica Reints and Ruth Saulsbury.
In Black Hawk County Quentin Hart was reelected to a fifth term as mayor of Waterloo while Danny Laudick was voted to be Cedar Falls’ new mayor.
